Experts for Corporate Development: Implementing and Shaping Change

24.02.2021 | General
The University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol is realigning its range of programs in the field of corporate restructuring. The part-time master’s program Corporate Transformation Management* looks at every stage of corporate development.

The new focus in the part-time master's program is provided by the topics of digitization and corporate transformation, which have been determining and influencing entrepreneurial activity for many years. Over the course of their studies, students take a holistic view at companies. Each semester, a phase or part of the life cycle of a company is analyzed – from start-up to turnaround.

A PROGRAM WHICH TRANSFORMS

The degree program covers the key instruments of corporate management using case studies from first-hand operational practice. The students deal with real transformation and turnaround measures affecting the respective companies. As part of the program’s research focus, students are actively involved in practice, and they get the chance to network directly with international experts on their study trip. “In the fourth semester, we visit companies that currently are or have recently been involved in transformation and reorganization measures. This enables exclusive, executive-level discussions that give students a unique insight into leading companies,” says Prof. (FH) Dr. Markus Exler, Professor and Head of the Institute for Cross-Border Restructuring.

EXPERTS FOR EVERY STAGE OF A COMPANY’S LIFE CYCLE

The comprehensive package of the degree program in Corporate Transformation Management* provides students with the necessary foundational knowledge of the processes of digitization and corporate transformation. They are trained to become subject matter experts who will implement and help shape future corporate development within the context of technological change. Graduates of this master’s program will be the preeminent experts in their companies for restructuring and/or crisis work. Their future professional roles include, among other things, management consulting, controlling, and upper and executive-level management.
