Working at FH Kufstein Tirol

The University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol has won several international awards, and with 2,200 students and 8,800 graduates it has a network of more than 215 partner institutions worldwide.

The quality of life in Kufstein is characterized by its centralized location in the heart of Europe, its special flair as a fortified city, and countless recreational opportunities in one of the most beautiful regions of the Alps.

We are a constantly developing knowledge organization. As an employer, we offer a wide range of interesting tasks and an environment that promotes performance and is friendly to families with flexible work conditions in a culture of partnership.

Creative freedom and professional development

At the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol, it is possible for you to contribute your own ideas, pursue them in a sustainable way, and to ultimately implement them successfully. We are glad to support you in this and help turn innovative ideas into reality. There is always something new to discover because of the diversified work and the broad area of responsibility. We focus on growing together and learning from each other. We consciously promote your inquisitive mind and give you the necessary freedom to grow!

An international character and open-mindedness

We are one of the top performers in the area of mobility and have more than 215 partner universities worldwide. It is important to us that not only our students use these programs, but we also consciously support you with attractive exchange programs. At our institution, we live with an international character, and that is reflected in our team members who come to us from all over the world. We emphasize mutual respect, openness to other people and cultures, as well as diversity.

Staff Mobility

As part of Erasmus+, we actively support the international mobility of our staff members. Our short-term exchange programmes provide an opportunity to gain an insight into living, studying and working at other universities worldwide. In close dialogue with employees of our partner universities, we would like to learn from each other and, by gaining new ideas, contribute to improving the service quality of our own university.

Staff Mobility in:

Short paths of communication and friendly interaction

We see ourselves as one big family and attach a lot of importance to appreciating one another. At the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol, we communicate on equal terms, accept different opinions, and always have an open ear to your concerns. Flat hierarchies, short paths of communication, and the opportunity to quickly implement things distinguish us just as much as our spirit of community makes us stand out. We not only want to live out these values in our organization, but we want to actively convey them to our students.

University and family

In the same way that we enable our students to make their families and careers compatible with each other, we also support our mothers and fathers with balancing their families and careers. Flexible work arrangements, modern work methods, mobile work, and individual parental leave models help you find the right balance between your career and family. Even towards the end of your career, we offer you partial retirement models to make your exit from professional life easier. Nursing leave, care leave, or special leave make it possible for you to make your family and career compatible with each other even in emergency family situations. We also have university and family certification, which underscores our dedication in this area.

Health and a team spirit

We are aware that you can only perform at a high level if you are physically and mentally in your best health. That is why the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol offers a comprehensive program of health-promoting activities to support you as much as possible. Yoga classes, functional training, or a weekly fruit basket with fresh, seasonal fruit underscore our motto of a healthy campus. In addition to health promotion, good personal contact with coworkers and managers is absolutely important for your own balance and motivation. We promote personal contact and regular interaction among ourselves by a lot of activities. A collective team spirit is first priority for us.

Code of Conduct – working together in a responsible and respectful way

The FH Kufstein Tirol has introduced a Code of Conduct (CoC) in order to establish basic principles and values for working together as well as with external partners. The aim is to facilitate transparent, constructive and trust-based cooperation between all persons, thereby establishing the basis for a culture of shared responsibility at the FH Kufstein.
