Meet & Match career fair at the FH Kufstein Tirol attracts about 500 visitors and 50 organizations

More than 500 students and graduates of the FH Kufstein Tirol as well as students from regional schools learned about career opportunities at the sixth edition of the Meet & Match career fair on March 31, 2017.

Every year, visitors to the cross-sectoral career fair receive detailed information about internships, the first job, and careers at participating companies. In the sixth edition of the Meet & Match career fair, about 500 people visited the 48 stands of the exhibiting companies. They also learned about potential employers at the Employer Pitch, where managers presented their businesses.

Professional application made easy

In addition to the presentations on the stage and at the booths, visitors had the opportunity to lay the foundation for their future career by putting together professional application documents. Photographer Viktoria Greiderer took photographs for future applications, and four stylists from the "dm Styling Lounge" took care of hair and make-up for the shooting. Personnel consultants from Connect Competence OG reviewed application documents in their "quick check" and gave professional advice to applicants.

New exhibitors

About 50 organizations and businesses took part in the 2017 career fair. Jennifer Krüger, BA, has been responsible for Alumni & Career Services at the FH Kufstein Tirol since January 2017 and managed to attract a number of renowned companies to the Meet & Match fair. While companies such as Hofer KG, Sandoz GmbH, Fritz Egger GmbH & Co. OG, and Viking GmbH were among regular exhibitors, others were new to the career fair. The Munich city administration and Tyrolit-Schleifmittelwerke Swarovski K.G. informed visitors about career opportunities in their organizations for the first time. Some exhibitors were represented by former graduates of the FH Kufstein Tirol, who presented their employers on the campus where they used to study.

The Kufstein University of Applied Sciences received excellent feedback from the exhibitors for organization, management and support before and during the career fair. "Most companies promised to take part in next year's Meet & Match. We are happy to be able to put together another exciting program for the 2018 fair," said Jennifer Krüger, BA.
