The business magazine “trend”, together with Statista, kununu and Xing, identified Austria's top 300 employers. The Kufstein University of Applied Sciences ranks among the best in the country.

The FH Kufstein Tirol is the number 15 among the leading Austrian employers in the "education and research" category. A total of 70 Austrian tertiary education institutions, including public universities, private universities, university colleges of teacher education and universities of applied sciences, were evaluated.

The business magazine “trend”, in cooperation with the Hamburg-based statistics company Statista and the feedback platform kununu, analyzed 70,000 reviews from an anonymous online survey of over 1,000 Austrian employers. The result is a list of the 300 "2017 top employers in Austria".

FH Kufstein Tirol ranks 15th among university employers

"We are very happy to be one of the leading employers in Austria and that our employees enjoy working in our organization," said Prof. (FH) Dr. Thomas Madritsch, CEO Managing Director of the FH Kufstein Tirol. "The result confirms our HR policy and inspires us to continue and achieve an even better result in the long term."

At the Kufstein University of Applied Sciences, employees benefit from flexible working hours and home office options. "We take the individual situations of our staff members into account so as to make their job as enjoyable as possible," said Gabriele Schädl, head of Human Resource Management. The university also promotes the compatibility of work and family life and was awarded the "hochschuleundfamilie" certificate for family-friendly university jobs. "At our organization, you are not a number. We have a sensitive attitude and see our employees as individual human beings," explained the HR manager.

Comprehensive survey among employees

The survey was carried out for organizations with more than 200 employees in Austria. They were divided into 20 pre-defined industry categories. About 7,600 randomly chosen employees stated to what degree they would recommend their employers.

In addition to that, over 100,000 members of the business network Xing who work at one of the participating companies, as well as the kununu community and readers of the "trend" magazine took part in the survey. More than 7,500 reviews on kununu.com were used as additional data to assess the organizations. Respondents were also asked to analyze other known employers from the same industry to complement the survey.
