Prof. (FH) DDr. Mario Situm, director of studies for the Bachelor in Business Management, recently held two lectures at the University of the Free State Bloemfontein in which he explained business management from a European perspective.

In September 2017 Prof. (FH) DDr. Mario Situm received the opportunity to spend a period of time as a visiting professor at the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein, South Africa. He held two lectures – one aimed at Bachelor students and the other aimed at Master students – looking at credit risk management, the foundations of capital market theory and the European view of business management.

The South African students were very interested in the opportunity to learn about business management from a different perspective and contrast it with the approach used in their country. The lectures were followed by a Q&A session which proved very educational for all involved and underlined the importance of cultural exchange in both teaching and learning.
