Interactive job & internship fair in the Facility & Real Estate Management area
The FM & REM BusinessConversation is a very special job & internship fair where 10 companies meet 20 students from the Facility & Real Estate Management study program area. After the welcome by Director of Studies Asc. University of Applied Sciences Professor Dipl.-Ing. Christian Huber, participants initially got to know each other by a BusinessGame.
In 2020, the companies competed along with the students to win at Jenga.
The course of events at the interactive job & internship fair
After this entertaining, relaxed introduction phase, the main part of the BusinessConversation takes place: the speed meet & greet. Company representatives receive the students at their company stands. In individual conversations, the companies and students each have 5 minutes time to get to know each other. After the five minutes are over, the students switch to the next company. This gives the opportunity for active interaction. Many conversations can be held in a compact format. Then there is an opportunity for more networking or more in-depth conversations.
In addition to finding job offers and internships, the Facility & Real Estate Management study program area offers its students the opportunity to build a network during the study program and gives options for professional collaboration. “We would like to heartily thank our sponsors, and I would especially like to thank our premium sponsor Siemens Gebäudemanagement & -Services G.m.b.H. and our networking partner ISS Austria Holding GmbH for the many years of support. Diversity was necessary for the participants as well as for the registered companies. This year’s students were bachelor students as well as master students, part-time and full-time students, and a range of students from students at the beginning of their studies to students who were almost ready to graduate from their study program. Companies sent many representatives: from human resource departments all the way up to top management and executive boards to convince potential employees that they are attractive employers. The company stands of CBRE, Drees & Sommer, GEMA, ISS, ÖRAG, RGM, Rustler, SES, Siemens, and Spie lined up in the Aula of the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol to get to know the students. “We perceived the BusinessConversation as an inspiring experience. We were able to get to know a lot of highly motivated, impressive students. CBRE Österreich is looking forward to any sort of future cooperation.
