It’s good to be different!
The event will take place on Friday, January 31, 2020 from 11 AM to 1 PM in the auditorium of the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol. The event slogan concurrently pursues the goal to further enhance awareness and acceptance in regard to diversity – a concern that the international university supports and promotes. “We want more tolerance, openness and acceptance for any kind of diversity, whether in regard to a person's origin, sexuality or attitude toward life. Be courageous and be yourself,” was the message from the 7-person team consisting of students from the study program Sports, Culture and Event Management.
Creating visibility for diversities
A call to participate and share one’s own diversity was already made prior to the event with the online campaign and Instagram channel _diversity_matters. The team is delighted about the positive acceptance and participation thus far: “Thank you to everyone who supported us and our campaigns and also shared our Instagram site. We know that it takes a lot of courage these days to stand by one’s preferences, attitudes and values. Thank you to everyone who is involved and helps us spread this matter that is close to our hearts.”
Special guests have been invited as a highlight, but these will only be publicly announced at the event. “We will present some amazing personalities and look forward to an exciting event! Diversity has been secured!” as the Project Team Manager Nicole Rottmann stated.
