Continuation of Q+ You
Q+ You was launched in 2020 by students of the international program Sports, Culture & Event Management. This year it will be continued, also by students of the course. The aim is to create visibility and awareness of the LGBTQIA + community and to offer the members of the community a platform on the one hand and to build a sense of community on the other.
New year, New Chance
In 2020, the sense of community should have been shaped with one another and not only represented by online discussion groups. The planned exhibition had to be postponed due to the Covid-19 measures valid at the time - but this is to be continued.
The project team Q+ You 2021 powered by ÖH FH Kufstein will continue and expand last year's photo gallery. The audiovisual exhibition will be presented on the first floor of the Kufstein Galerien and in the glass bridge to the Inntalcenter from June 1st – 30th, 2021. It was designed jointly by people from all facets of the LGBTQIA + community. Short audio statements that can be called up via QR code underline the picture and the story of the respective person. This personal insight paired with additional information and facts help to raise awareness among the viewer.
Visibility that nobody can miss
The kick-off event will take place on Tuesday, June 1st, 2021, so that it can be present in Kufstein during the Pride month of June. The event will take place at 5pm at the Kufstein Garlerien. The implementation is underlined by decorations in rainbow optics in the city centre. A photo challenge in various parts of the city should also motivate people to pay attention to the topic.
Many additional ideas are in the planning stage, including the exhibition to be shown in Innsbruck afterwards. All ideas and the latest news from the project group can be followed on the Instagram account q_plus_you. Together as ONE community, great things can be achieved with the Q+ You project powered by ÖH FH Kufstein.
Q+ YOU - Share your own experiences
Motivated people and everyone who wants to make their own contribution can do so with their personal story.
How?
Record your own story in the form of an audio file of a maximum of two minutes and send a picture. Both will then be shown in the Q+ You powered by ÖH FH Kufstein exhibition in Kufstein and then in Innsbruck. In addition, the project goal is to make these stories available online in the future. Therefore, multiple images can be sent. For all those who do not want to express themselves with their voice, there is the possibility to send their own story to the students by e-mail.

Telling your own experiences helps to raise awareness of the LGBTQIA+ community.
