  • Why did you choose the ERP Systems & Business Process Management Master's program? What made it special for you?

The decision to study ERP Systems & Business Process Management at the Kufstein University of Applied Sciences was an easy one for me. Firstly, it felt as if the program had been made for me and secondly, I wanted to give myself more job options after having worked as an IT project manager for a few years. Kufstein as a location was also a deciding factor, as was the fact that the part-time program allowed me to gain a foothold in the labor market in the Austrian province of Tyrol.

Ultimately, however, it was the program's content that influenced my decision: economics and engineering go perfectly with each other and you can feel the symbioses of both fields right from the start. In the end, everybody has to decide for themselves what they want to get out of the program that is offered here.

  • How easy is it to reconcile working, studying and having a life?

I was able to reconcile the three major areas of my life: family, work and study. I do have to say, though, that it was not always easy and would not have worked without making sacrifices. But, the investments made started to bear fruit quickly and the acquired knowledge yearns to be applied.

  • What job opportunities opened up to you through studying here?

For me, studying at the Kufstein University of Applied Sciences led to the desired success. I was able to develop further, broaden my horizon and create a solid professional foundation for moving to Tyrol. Two years after graduating, I am now leading a department for Lean Six Sigma process optimization in a global company, trying to recruit people from my former degree program, and – while writing theses lines – next to me my wife is working on an essay for her degree that she is doing at the Kufstein University of Applied Sciences. Our son is now a year old and my wife is using her maternity leave to do further academic training.
