• Why did you decide to study “International Business Studies” at the FH Kufstein Tirol?

With my experience in the financial sector and becoming an entrepreneur years later, I needed a program that combined both for my career when I decided to pursue master’s degree. A friend recommended the university to me. Course contents are particularly important to me. I found the International Business Studies appealing, plus the small class size and online testimonials of students were great.

• What do you like best about your studies (so far)?

The practical nature of the course is second to none. Even though the first year has been 100% online, I like the experienced lecturers, the group assignments, and the practical nature of each subject which has made data analysis rather easy for me so far. 

• Did you have any concerns about continuing your studies under the influence of the Corona pandemic?

When you have a well-structured and coordinated program, you forget the effects of the pandemic. The only thing that was lacking during the studies was the physical connection with colleagues and the lecturers. Nonetheless, the support from both lecturers and administrative is excellent. I have no concerns whatsoever about continuing my studies.

• How do you feel about online teaching (100%)? Are there or were there any disadvantages compared to face-to-face teaching?

I guess everyone was excited about the online lesson at the beginning of the course. But then things turned a negative course and we all wished we were in class. However, the lecturers gave in their all which made lessons exciting and worth attending. I hope for a face-to-face lesson in the coming semester which of course is the preferred choice.

• Would you recommend your studies at the FH Kufstein Tirol, if so why and to whom?

I would recommend the International Business Studies and the university to anyone who wishes to study master’s here. The small class size makes every student’s needs well attended to plus the course contents are practical. For living in Kufstein, if a day should come when you feel down, just take a walk along the nice river or the numerous hiking trail, you will get a smile and a greeting for a beautiful day. Nice scenery, great culture!
